A very exciting night out....

On Sunday, we decided to do something out of the ordinary. We went to the mall. Not really to shop, but to get out as a family and do something fun! We were planning on stopping on the way home to pick up a pizza, but decided we weren't really in the mood for pizza. So instead we went to Applebees for dinner. Usually, if we are going out to dinner, I am VERY prepared. I have a special placemat I bring for Katelyn, along with food and drinks I bring for her. At least I had a spare disposable placemat and bib that I always keep in my diaper bag, so we weren't completely unprepared.

Well, since this was an impromptu moment, I didn't have food or drink-which meant Katelyn got to order off the Kids menu for the first time!!!!! I ordered her a grilled cheese sandwich with applesauce and a glass of juice. Since I hadn't packed a sippy cup, she got to drink out of a big girl cup! Katelyn was sooOOO good! She loved drinking from the cup and even finally signed "more" for more juice. She also learned to say "DONE"! She would hold her hands out to the side and say "done!" SO CUTE! What a great night!
