Crime and Punishment
Well, our little sweet toddler is growing up. She has discovered being naughty. We know she understands because she gives us a huge smile before she wanders off to be naughty for attention. One of her favorite new things to do is STAND on her new chair. She knows full well that she is only supposed to sit on the chair. Yesterday she kept standing and standing, despite me telling her to sit and going over and sitting her on the chair. Well, the third time she did it, Ross told her no and then took the chair away from her.

Welcome to toddlerhood.....
The most rewarding, yet extremely difficult year or 2 are ahead of you. We're in the thick of it right now. Good Job Ross! It breaks our hearts to break theirs, but they understand "no" means "no" a lot quicker. Tonight, after several attempts of trying to redirect Evelyn, she just couldn't get it, so she lost her bedtime books. Taking away books isn't exactly what I like to do, but it's the major "love" of her bedtime routine, so it had to be that. It worked...she said she was sorry and would try to make a better choice tomorrow. I still felt awful...Hang in there Jen and Ross....they forget quickly :)
