10 Months Old!

Wow, 10 months. In only 2 months, I'll have a 1 year old! That's crazy! Katelyn continues to amaze us everyday with her new tricks. It's amazing to us how quickly she is becoming a big girl.

A few things of note:
Likes:
-Standing up on ANYTHING (but especially the coffee table and her crib). She can even let go for a second or two and balance.
-Crawling and getting into everything. She even knows when she is not supposed to be into something (of course, not that that stops her.)
-Talking. She is baby babbling all the time. She definately has a first word, but we're still trying to catch it on video (harder than you think.)
-Loves banging things together or banging things on the floor.
-Loves to read. Is constantly getting into her books and opening them up and "reading" them. She can do all the "tricks" in "Pat the Bunny" and can do all the peek a boos in her books.
-She really likes other kids. Hence why she likes music class and other opportunities to be with other kids (she especially loves her cousins.)
-She likes all food. There really isn't anything we've fed her that she won't eat. She is really great at using her hands and fingers to eat finger food.
-She is great at imitating. She can clap, wave "hi" and "bye" and is beginning to pick up on other things we do. I am trying to get her to understand hugs and kisses next.
-Bath and water. Daddy now has to take his shirt off because she splashes so much he gets completely soaked!

Dislikes:
-Naps. She fights it like crazy! She spends at least 45 min (no matter how tired she is) playing in her crib and practicing standing up.
-Diaper changing. This is a new one, but she loves moving so much now that she doesn't like being confined to her changing table to get a new diaper on.
-Snuggling. Much like diaper changing, she'd rather be on the move.




So hard to get pictures this month with the sign. She kept wanting to play with it!
